Tarot Its Not Just For Fortunetelling Anymore

Tarot Its Not Just For Fortunetelling Anymore
Via llewellyn.com

Although most people don't know it, the Tarot is kind of like the Swiss Army Knife of self-help tools. The seventy-eight cards of the Tarot deck are well known as predictors of the future, the favored instrument of fortunetellers. But did you know that the Tarot can help you find solutions to problems, focus your meditation, enhance your journaling, supplement your magical practice, and increase your personal growth? "What Tarot Can Do For You" outlines methods and practices for all these topics, including exercises and examples.

Fortune telling will probably always be Tarot's crowning glory. Really, who isn't intrigued with the idea of knowing the future? But unless you believe that the future is set in stone, that everything is pre-determined, and that you have no free will, the future cannot be predicted, right? Well, yes and no. If certain events are set in motion, then there is a likely outcome. Think about predicting the weather. The further out a prediction is, the more likely things will happen to change the forecast. The daily forecast is always more accurate than the seven-day forecast. Even with the daily forecast, unforeseen events can change the weather very quickly.

A Tarot reading, or divination, is most effective if used like a weather forecast. It can tell you what will probably happen if all things remain as they are, and give you a clear picture of all the elements involved and how they affect one another. But unlike a weather forecast, the Tarot can also help you determine your best course of action in those events over which you have control. Because the Tarot acts as a bridge between your subconscious and your conscious, it can help clarify your thoughts and feelings regarding a situation. The Tarot is also a spiritual tool, serving as a connection between you the divine-it can provide guidance in times of turmoil. In short, it can give you information about a situation and help you find answers or make better decisions.

By looking at an image on a Tarot card and focusing on what draws your attention-or even your reaction to an aspect of the image-can help pinpoint or clarify issues that, while apparently clamoring for attention, might be difficult to see clearly. Also, considering the actions depicted in the cards can provide inspiration for new ideas or new ways of looking at situations. This makes the tarot very useful for problem solving.

Krakow

Krakow
Having left South Ashford at 5.30am by minibus, we arrived at the Divine Mercy Shrine at Lagewniki in Krakow on time, as planned for lunch, after which we met with Sister Gaudia - as the name implies, a very joyful and youthful sister - who is, of course, Polish, but speaks excellent slightly Americanised English.

She explained something of the significance of the message of Mercy that was entrusted to Saint Faustina, Jesus' Secretary of Divine Mercy. She particularly explained about the 3 o'clock prayer, and wanted it to be known that Our Lord did not ask that any particular prayer be said at 3 o'clock but that rather we pause at that time - for a few seconds, a few minutes, longer if possible - to meditate on the suffering and death of Jesus. Of course, one can say a prayer, the so-called '3 o'clock prayer', for instance, or even the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, but there is no intrinsic link between these prayers and keeping the hour of Our Lord's death.

Sister Gaudia also spoke about the humility of Saint Faustina, and how she is another example of how the Lord chooses the lowly of this world to be entrusted with something great. St Faustina's diaries are at once simple and profound. Simple souls say how easy it is to understand because of its simplicity, wise souls say how profound the diary is. Here we are by the wall just outside the convent chapel where the Chaplet is written in various languages:

I remarked to Sister Gaudia how much we need sisters like her and her order in England, dressed like sisters. She replied with some enthusiasm: "Yes, you do, you do!" Wouldn't it be wonderful if these sisters were established in the UK.

Just outside the convent chapel can be seen the window of the cell where St Faustina died, decorated with flowers:

Following her brief talk with us, we went to the Convent Chapel where the relics of St Faustina are preserved and joined in the 3 o'clock prayers which consisted of a meditation and some prayers in Polish (which naturally we did not understand) followed by the recitation of the Chaplet, one decade of which was done in English for our benefit.

After venerating the relic of St Faustina, we went to the Chapel of St Faustina beneath the basilica for Mass. Today is, of course, the feast of the Visitation, a very appropriate feast for considering lowly and humble creatures chosen by God for great things.

This afternoon I took the opportunity to meditate on some of St Faustina's Notebook VI from her diary, and it truly is profound. Here is what I just happened to read as I sat in front of the exposed Blessed Sacrament:

My heart is drawn there where my God is hidden,

Where He dwells with us day and night,

Clothed in the White Host;

He governs the whole world. He communes with souls.

My heart is drawn there where my God is hiding,

Where His love is immolated.

But my heart senses that the living water is here:

It is my living God, through a veil hides Him.St Faustina is surely speaking of her own mystical experience of ecstasy when she writes:

During meditation, the Lord gave me knowledge of the joy of heaven and of the saints on our arrival there; they love God as the sole object of their love, but they also have a tender and heartfelt love for us. It is from the face of God that this joy flows out upon all, because we see Him face to face. His face is so sweet that the soul falls anew into ecstasy. On February 13th 1938, she

SAW HOW UNWILLINGLY THE LORD JESUS CAME TO CERTAIN SOULS IN HOLY COMMUNION. AND HE SPOKE THESE WORDS TO ME: I ENTER INTO CERTAIN HEARTS AS INTO A SECOND PASSION.

Later this afternoon I took a walk round the grounds and visited the Convent cemetery. Here Sr Faustina was buried until her remains were removed to the Convent Chapel.

There appears now to be a large vault where the sisters are buried, with a wall on which the names of those interred are recorded. It must be wonderful to be able to contemplate daily the place where you will be laid to rest.

In the evening there is a beautifully prayerful atmosphere in the convent chapel, which is really the heart of the shrine (I'm afraid I don't much care for the modernist architecture of the basilica). There are evening prayers with exposition of the Blessed Sacrament (followed by distribution of Holy Communion which, I must say, I found a bit odd but which I also observed in my visit to Czestochowa earlier this year), Rosary for needy families, night prayers, etc. It is heart-warming to see so many sisters, including numerous novices, and ordinary lay people - many children too, gathered together for these times of prayer, with of course beautiful devout singing.

To Repress Worship Is To Repress The Irrepressible

To Repress Worship Is To Repress The Irrepressible
To asphyxiate fancy is to asphyxiate the out of control.

A person is a worshipper. Each one occupier has his or her God: The really stand out against is that some can safeguard what they conduct with keen reasons what others do so in a immaculate. Not really fill but nations command their gods.

I am an Indian, natural and raised in India. Prior I stimulated to the West I with a smile put right the fact that voguish Hindu festivals the nation would be celebrating the rapid. This was expected, even nevertheless mechanically India is a chronological democracy. But portray is an ultimate worldview subsequently the culture. Whether it was Ganesh puja or Diwali, India celebrates its festivals based in a Hindu worldview.

I am not a Hindu but I awe the Hindu's authority to show support the introductory textile of the nation. The enormously applies to a Buddhist nation or to an Islamic nation. I am neither a Buddhist nor a Muslim. But I awe the authority of make somewhere your home in these countries to show support their trust voguish their festivals and am not maltreated by them.

I am a Christian. One time I came to America decades ago, I was enjoyable to see Christmas elevated and the perseverance for the give flavor to so obvious: the inborn of Jesus Christ. Did I buy that every American was thus a Christian? Completely not. But I true the genial statement of even the demonstrator to allow that which has been adroit in this land-living historically and usually to flow. But sorry to say, it is not so. In Thailand and Indonesia Christmas carols are sung in shopping centers and Christmas trees dress airports. But in America the anti-Christian leaning of bizarre advertisements would like Bloomingdales' "Merry, Pleased, Treasured, Calmness" thoughtful textile in advance planted in midair and messenger no perseverance for the give flavor to.

Who is maltreated by a populace celebration of Christmas? The anti-Christian secularist who lives under the magnetism that thinking are cradled in a immaculate. Calmness and love for what? Having the status of do these provisions really mean? Are they self-evident? Not by any contrivance.

America may not be a Christian nation per se, but really the Judeo-Christian worldview may well command framed such a nation's textile and values: "All men are shaped equal, that they are endowed by their Founder with particular unalienable Internship." No other religion or chronological conjecture can proclaim such a statement close off the Judeo-Christian worldview. But today that very worldview on which our systems of decree and law are based is expelled from the market.

Democracies that are traumatized from all sacred moorings decisively coerce under the swine weight of unbalanced egos. Discharge is destroyed not reasonable by its retraction, but stuck-up often by its abuse.

Is it not odd that whenever it has power, progressiveness is whatsoever but laissez-faire, all in the cable of religion and politics? We now command whatever thing called "spirituality" when nation don't would like the word "religion." Having the status of does spirituality mean? It contrivance you may conduct whatsoever you wish to conduct but in connection with live things that are part and parcel of, "No absolutes, persuade." The relativism and spirituality with which our troop lives command one thing in common: they are all mixed ways of self-worship.

It is not venture that even as Christian thinking command been jettisoned, the world is not wastefully and religiously on the edge of clatter. Oh, but Jesus' name equal surfaces in the West. Conceivably stuck-up often than any other name. Why? As profanity equal reigns. Oh yes, and God equal facts in our philosophy: even to the same degree "Mother State" quakes and thousands die, we equal money "Lead God." The removal of Christmas may be the anti-theists' vast melancholy. But they equal goal the gifts of Christmas-love, joy, quietness and perseverance. Malcolm Muggeridge gone opined that we command qualified ourselves within imbecility.

Having the status of are we celebrating at Christmas? Having the status of is the take in of Christmas? It is the inborn of the One who promised quietness, joy and love. Try as we courage, we cannot be aware of such thinking without acknowledging the be a sign of of bring up for these absolutes: the very occupier of God and his gift to us of a untouched statement and courage. That take in needs to be heard on our world that is reeling with impenetrability and pandemic with abhor. For we command famous we are not fit to be God.

G.K. Chesterton was right: "The industry with Christianity is not that it has been tried and found wanting, but that it has been found tortuous and departed investigational."

One sparkle ago, I walked within the Criminal Metropolitan in Beijing. It was a unfeeling and grey January. I paused as I saw profound hip its parapet a shop with the pennon equal fluttering, "Merry Christmas." That which was joyfully displayed in the Criminal Metropolitan is now all but unthinkable in our cities. A Chinese schoolteacher gone remarked to me, "You Christians hold to thank God for Socialism, when we departed the souls of our nation vacate, making room for the gospel."

Conceivably someday we courage thank the rabid secularists as well, to the same degree Merry Christmas courage no longer be unthinkable in our cities. Tired and unexpected defeat in self-worship, we may turn to God another time and get stuck his story afresh.

Ravi explores these issues in upper severity in his open book, "Why Jesus?" held January 25, 2012.

"POSTED BY: DANIEL IOAN NOTAR *DJ DANY*"

On Liturgical Abuse

On Liturgical Abuse
First of all, I want to thank everyone who commented on my "bleg" post and gave document suggestions, etc. I found what I was looking for in Redemptionis Sacramentum, from the Congregation For Divine Worship, in the following sections:3. The Other Parts of the Mass[58.] All of Christ's faithful likewise have the right to a celebration of the Eucharist that has been so carefully prepared in all its parts that the word of God is properly and efficaciously proclaimed and explained in it; that the faculty for selecting the liturgical texts and rites is carried out with care according to the norms; and that their faith is duly safeguarded and nourished by the words that are sung in the celebration of the Liturgy.[59.] The reprobated practice by which Priests, Deacons or the faithful here and there alter or vary at will the texts of the Sacred Liturgy that they are charged to pronounce, must cease. For in doing thus, they render the celebration of the Sacred Liturgy unstable, and not infrequently distort the authentic meaning of the Liturgy.[61.] In selecting the biblical readings for proclamation in the celebration of Mass, the norms found in the liturgical books are to be followed,[136] so that indeed "a richer table of the word of God will be prepared for the faithful, and the biblical treasures opened up for them".[137][62.] It is also illicit to omit or to substitute the prescribed biblical readings on one's own initiative, and especially "to substitute other, non-biblical texts for the readings and responsorial Psalm, which contain the word of God".[138][63.] "Within the celebration of the Sacred Liturgy, the reading of the Gospel, which is "the high point of the Liturgy of the Word",[139] is reserved by the Church's tradition to an ordained minister.[140] Thus it is not permitted for a layperson, even a religious, to proclaim the Gospel reading in the celebration of Holy Mass, nor in other cases in which the norms do not explicitly permit it.[141]The biggest problems to me are these: first, that the Gospel reading is not taken from the Lectionary readings for Christmas Mass but is made up of a blended, "cut and paste" set of readings from the Gospels of St. Luke and St. Matthew; some of the readings are from the Gospel for Epiphany, and not for Christmas at all! Moreover, since this pageant has apparently been done for years, the words from St. Luke's Gospel are not from the current Lectionary and do not match the approved texts for the Mass. Second, the interruption of the Gospel readings by no less than five Christmas carols is a serious disruption of the Mass, and fosters a spirit of entertainment instead of worship, and my family, being in the choir, would be expected to help lead in the singing of these carols. Thus, while I appreciate everyone's comments, those who indicated that perhaps this was no big deal and should be overlooked for the sake of the community etc. are, I think, not looking at the whole situation. This isn't a case of possible "rule-bending" which my family would simply witness; it is a case of outright liturgical abuse in which my family would be expected to participate in the fullest sense (e.g., singing the songs between the "Gospel" reading/play-acting).I realize the truth of several things which get said when these issues are brought up: that each of us individually is quite probably the gravest liturgical abuse at any given Mass; that a spirit of charity and assuming people don't know better is healthier spiritually than a critical spirit that jots down the slightest faltering as if it were deliberate abuse; that a priest may "ad-lib" a prayer or phrase here or there under the completely mistaken notion that he is permitted to do so; that focusing on all the possible errors at Mass (and this is true whether you attend an N.O. or a TLM) will rob you of the joy and peace which should attend you when you are worshiping God in this perfect prayer of the Church, and so on. Certainly I have left my "liturgical nit-picking" days far behind me, and am inclined toward charity even in this instance--that the people planning it do not know any better. The problem is that I do know better, and will be held accountable for that knowledge even if no one else is so held.At the same time, being a member of a parish is not an arbitrary thing, and as some have justly pointed out, it is not really fair for me to put the whole choir in a bad situation by refusing to be present at this Christmas Mass, instead going elsewhere and leaving a much smaller choir to provide the legitimate music needed for the Mass. What I'll ultimately decide to do isn't clear at this point, because I have yet to communicate my concerns through the proper channels. Brief discussion at Mass with some other choir members leads me to believe that the community in general isn't uniformly thrilled with this way of doing things, but that because the parish has been doing it in this way for so long they don't see a possibility of change--even though we have a new pastor who may be more receptive to concerns, as well as a relatively new bishop who may not yet be aware that situations like these exist in the diocese. So, at this point, I think my course of action is as follows:1. Write a clear, brief, extremely diplomatic letter to the DRE who organizes the pageant, sharing the relevant quotes from Redemptionis Sacramentum and asking why unapproved texts, blended texts, and the Gospel for a wholly different feast are being planned for Christmas Mass; I think my real concerns can be expressed in a non-hostile, non-threatening way, and by writing to the DRE first I am not "attacking" her personally, but giving her the chance to respond.2. If necessary, share a copy of this first letter with the pastor, asking politely if there is some provision I am unaware of that makes it permissible for the Gospel at Christmas Mass to be replaced by an assortment of texts including the Gospel for Epiphany, and to be interrupted by the singing of carols.3. If necessary, share any correspondence I have had with the DRE and the pastor with the bishop or other chancery officials. At that point, if the blended Gospel/pageant is going forward as planned, decide on what level of participation if any is possible for me and for my family. (One option would be to be present for and sing for the other parts of the Mass but to ask to be excused from the "mid-Gospel caroling" on the grounds of my serious disagreement with this practice.)Now, I know from some of the responses I received in person, there are people who are simply scratching their heads. Why care? Why bother? Let the kiddies have their fun--it's Christmas, after all, and who would be such a Grinch as to insist on some dull liturgical rules instead of getting with the spirit of things? seems to be the gist of a lot of it.The fact is that despite what a terrible series of events has caused us to believe for the past forty years or so, the Mass is not our property, to do with as we wish. It's not about "inclusion" or "community" or "making people feel happy" or any similar things, even if those things are a part of it. The Mass is our highest and most solemn act of public worship, the unbloody re-presentation of Christ's sacrifice on Calvary. The priest offers this sacrifice to the Father on our behalf, while we participate by uniting ourselves to this most holy prayer, whether silently or by speaking and singing the various prayers the people may join in saying or singing. Anything which adds to this worship, such as periods of silence at the appropriate times, reverence for the Sacred Body and Blood as evidenced by careful purification of the vessels after Communion, newer and more accurate English translations of the Latin prayers, etc. is the sort of "innovation" we should appreciate even if these things are "new" where we are.But welcoming innovations for the sake of novelty or insising on "old customs" which were never appropriate in the first place, especially when these things detract from the solemnity of the Mass, ought not to be appreciated or clung to stubbornly. We need to be evalutating these extraneous customs that have crept in to examine whether they were ever permitted, whether they are desirable, whether they ought to be part of the Holy Mass or belong quite properly in devotional practices outside of it, and the like. And this is true whether the practice is one we actually like or not--I recall hearing about a priest who for a while had added a "Hail Mary" in at a quiet part of the Mass out of his deep devotion to the Blessed Mother, but who eventually realized that Our Lady was not honored by his decision to add a prayer to the Mass which is not a part of it.Many of us speak about the "reform of the reform," and are glad to be living in a time when this concept is beginning to bear fruit. But it is frustrating to me that so many (though not my readers, necessarily!) seem, even in the face of verifiable liturgical abuse, and serious abuse at that, to counsel silence, even though silence may seem to give consent (Qui tacet consentire vid'etur). It is not a small thing to wish for the integrity of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass to be preserved and respected, and the example we give to our children, including the ones who are in the pageant, is not a small thing either. When I remember the dubious liturgical celebrations of my youth, and the free and easy way in which the Mass was often "re-imagined" for the sake of us children, I do not feel gratitude towards those presumably well-meaning devastators, but a deep unhappiness that they consipired to rob me and my contemporaries of our Catholic birthright, the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, untainted by modern tampering, limited political/social agendas (e.g., the Mass I attended in high school where the "readings" and "Gospel" were from the writings of Martin Luther King, Jr.) and a personal axe or two to grind with the Church in regards to women's ordination, lay overreaching, and other misguided fantasies of what some of them thought the Church ought to be. And I doubt that those of today's "Christmas pageant children" who haven't left the Church by their adulthood will think fondly of their coerced involvement in heterodox practices, either.

Wisdom Wisdom

Wisdom Wisdom
"The first reading in the Daily Office last week and this week has been from the Book of the Wisdom of Solomon". It's one of the so-called "apocrypha "= "hidden things", defined in the "Outline of the Faith" of the "Book of Common Prayer "[p. 853] as "a collection of additional books written by people of the Old Covenant, and used in the Christian Church."

These books, also referred to as "deuterocanonical "books, are works included in the Septuagint, or ancient Greek translation of the Hebrew Scriptures with additions, or in the Old Latin and Vulgate translations. They are not, however, included in the Hebrew text which constitutes both the canon for Judaism and the Protestant Old Testament. Article VI of the "Articles of Religion "describes the apocrypha as "...the other Books (as Hierome saith) the Church doth read for example of life and instruction of manners; but yet doth not apply them to establish any doctrine..." John Cosin (1594-1672), English churchman, native of Norwich, England, and bishop of Durham from 1660 until his death in London in 1672, commented on the "apocrypha "in his "A Scholastical History of the Canon of the Holy Scriptures", saying: "...That they who first put these Deutero-canonical or Ecclesiastical books into the volume of the Bible, did not thereby intend to make them equal to the Books of Moses and the Prophets, but only to recommend them unto the private and public reading of the Church, both for the many excellent precepts and examples of life that be in them, and for the better knowledge of the history and estate of God's people from the time of the Prophets to the coming of Christ..." (Chap. XIX) Cosin, incidentally, also played a prominent part, at the convocation in 1661, in the revision of the Prayer Book, and tried with some success to bring both prayers and rubrics into better agreement with ancient liturgies. He administered the Diocese of Durham successfully for 11 years, using a large share of his revenues to further the Church's interests, and to establish schools and charitable institutions.

Getting back to the "Book of Wisdom", it's been particularly interesting reflecting on the passages in light of both the international and American religious, social and cultural background of late. "Love righteousness, you rulers of the earth...wisdom will not enter a deceitful soul...the sound of grumbling does not go unheard. Beware then of useless grumbling, and keep your tongue from slander; because no secret word is without result...Do not...bring on destruction by the works of your hands...the generative forces of the world are wholesome, and there is no destructive poison in them..."

Wisdom exposes the false values and twisted thinking of people who are in it for their own greed and gain, with little or no thought to the efficient and peaceful functioning of society, and the common good of all. "For they reasoned unsoundly, saying to themselves...'Come, therefore, let us enjoy the good things that exist...Let us take our fill of costly wine and perfumes...Let none of us fail to share in our revelry; everywhere let us leave signs of enjoyment, because this is our portion, and this is our lot. Let us oppress the righteous poor man; let us not spare the widow or regard the gray hairs of the aged. But let our might be our law of right, for what is weak proves itself to be useless'..."

The high cost of such mean spiritedness and irresponsibility is hinted at by Wisdom, when, in the end, reality becomes apparent and clear: "The righteous who have died will condemn the ungodly who are living, and youth that is quickly perfected will condemn the prolonged old age of the unrighteous. For "[the unrighteous]" will see the end of the wise, and will not understand...they will be left utterly dry and barren...their lawless deeds will convict them to their face...they will be shaken with dreadful fear...in anguish of spirit they will groan, and say, 'These are persons whom we once held in derision and made a byword of reproach -- fools that we were!...it was we who strayed from the way of truth...We took our fill of the paths of lawlessness and destruction...What has our arrogance profited us? And what good has our boasted wealth brought us?...So we...as soon as we were born, ceased to be, and we had no sign of virtue to show, but were consumed in our wickedness..."

The writer of the "Book of Wisdom" seems to have attained an understanding of how things really are: "I also am mortal, like everyone else...when I was born, I began to breathe the common air, and fell upon the kindred earth; my first sound was a cry, as is true of all...For no king has had a different beginning of existence; there is for all one entrance into life, and one way out. Therefore I pray, and understanding was given me;...the spirit of wisdom came to me. I preferred her to scepters and thrones, and I accounted wealth as nothing in comparison with her...all gold is but a little sand in her sight...I loved her more than health or beauty...I learned without guile and I impart without grudging...for it is an unfailing treasure for mortals..."

In magnificent poetry, the author continues to extol Wisdom, noting the features which draw one to It: "Wisdom, the fashioner of all things, taught me..." He characterizes Wisdom as the source of intelligence, holiness, uniqueness, clarity, invulnerability, goodness, beneficence, humanity, steadfastness, certainty, freedom from anxiety, and true power. Wisdom, he says, is "more mobile than any motion...she pervades and penetrates all things...nothing defiled gains entrance into her...she renews all things...against wisdom evil does not prevail...she orders all things well."

On a spiritual level, Wisdom is "the breath of the power of God...a spotless mirror of the working of God...an image of God's goodness...God loves nothing so much as the person who lives with wisdom..." Nevertheless, human beings seem to keep misreading the signs which are all about them. "For from the greatness and beauty of created things comes a corresponding perception of their Creator. Yet these people...perhaps go astray while seeking God and desiring to find God...For while they live among God's works, they keep searching, and they trust in what they see..." Idolatry becomes "the beginning and cause and end of every evil...", resulting in lying, living unrighteously, committing perjury, swearing oaths and expecting no harm.

It's the human condition, the story of us all, the constant daily struggle in which we all engage: to do the right thing, and to avoid the wrong: to come to maturity and true wisdom. The Wisdom writer's ultimate message for us is one of faith, hope and love. "But you, our God, are kind and true, patient, and ruling all things in mercy. For even if we sin we are yours, knowing your power...because we know that you acknowledge us as yours. For to know you is complete righteousness...For in everything, O Lord, you have exalted and glorified your people, and you have not neglected to help them at all times and in all places."

Sanctity Of Masjid And Essence Of Human Existence

Sanctity Of Masjid And Essence Of Human Existence
Malls and MasjidsThe Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "The dearest parts on the face of the earth near Allah are its mosques, and the most hated parts near Allah are its markets." [Sahih Muslim]The superiority of the mosques is obvious. People pray and worship Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) in mosques. They recite the Quran in it and encourage one another to obey Allah (subhana wa ta'ala). The mosque in the time of the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) was also the head quarters of the Islamic State. Foreign delegations were received there, the consultative assembly was held in Masjid-e-Nabwi, and all matters of state were discussed therein. On the other hand, malls and bazaars are where people forget Allah (subhana wa ta'ala). The adhan and time of prayer go unnoticed. Shaitaan makes us indulge in such forbidden acts as fraud, lying, gossiping, checking people out and wasting money. Malls and bazaars are disliked for the many sins that are likely to occur in them, not least of which is taking Allah's blessings and favours for granted. Shops taunt us with their glittery ware, flaunting before us all that we do not possess of material goods, while possessing these things is of no value to our everlasting life. We end up wasting our money which we could have used to come closer to Allah (subhana wa ta'ala).Spending more time than necessary in market places is also a waste of another precious commodity: time. "Hanging out", "window shopping" and "killing time" are the very antithesis of an Islamic understanding of life. During an exam does any sane person do anything except focus on getting the exam questions answered correctly? We are in an exam until we die. What we do every second that we are alive, counts in the final assessment. We can't afford to waste time. The purpose of life is simply to qualify for Allah's Grace and His granting us everlasting happiness in Jannah. There is no other purpose to life..

Luna

Luna
Ah Luna. Sweet, lovely Luna. Here is the name of a character that everyone just fell in love with.

Luna Lovegood first appears in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and she belongs to the house of Ravenclaw (w00t!). In interviews, J.K. Rowling described her as the "anti-Hermione" because she relies on faith rather than logic. Her personality is very spaced-out and dreamy, and she's prone to saying weird things and believing in odd things. This leads to her being socially isolated. But, a girl after my own heart, she doesn't care about other people's opinions. She becomes friends with Harry because they had both watched someone die. Luna had witnessed the death of her mother when she was nine.

Of course, this name is very appropriate for Neo-Pagans. Luna (pronounced "LOO-nah") is a Spanish, Italian, and Latin name meaning "moon." The moon has long been associated with female power for many cultures (in Japan and India it's different, both deities of the moon are masculine). In Wicca, the moon is the Goddess who sits alongside the God as an equal. Unlike many other religions, the Goddess is generally seen as more important and some traditions, like Dianic Wicca, ignore the God entirely. Wiccans pay a lot of attention to the phases of the moon, so the Goddess is a Triple Goddess. While the moon is waxing, full, and waning, the Goddess is the Maiden, the Mother, and the Crone. These three phases symbolize virginity, fertility, and wisdom. Wiccans are required to observe thirteen Esbats (ritual days)a year. It's thirteen because there are thirteen full moons a year.

Luna is also sometimes used as another name for either Artemis or Selene. Artemis is a widely venerated Greek goddess who holds dominion over the moon according to most sources, others say this is Selene's job. If you're born under the sign of cancer, you could use this as a name because cancer is ruled by the moon. On another note, the word "lunatic" comes from Luna. Somewhere in history, it switched from the moon causing magick to the moon causing madness.

A notable namesake is Luna Leopold, a "male" hydrologist and environmentalist well known for his radical notion that the natural world needs to be taken into account when managing water resources. Clearly, having a feminine name didn't hold him back. There is a masculine variant, Luno, but this is rarely used.

Thanks to Harry Potter, Luna has made a major comeback. Starting in 2003, what was once a "grandma name" appeared on the charts again. In the years following it's numbers shot up at an alarming rate. What year was Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix published? 2003. There is a very obvious connection. It peaked in 2009 at #322, and it has just started to wane. It's also popular in other countries, it's #16 in Belgium, #76 in Germany, and #87 in Spain...but is not used much in England. I say this because apparently Hermione got popular in England but not in the United States. So why did Luna succeed in this country, and not Hermione?

My theory is that this is due, at least in part, to our country's substantially larger Hispanic population. Hermione won't click with a Spanish speaking person. The letter H is very rarely used in Spanish, and when it is they keep it silent. And they treat the letter R differently as well. Luna's more accessible. They see it as a word name.

When Neo-Pagans try to think of names that invoke the Goddess, Luna is usually their first thought. It's popularity should not deter anyone who is truly in love with it, but for the sake of variety there's also Luneth, Lunette, and Lunetta. And despite it's use, I would never put it in the Wicca-lite category. It's witchy-ness is still very strong, and I think it will never really leave it.

Power And Conviction In Spells And Rituals

Power And Conviction In Spells And Rituals
I have found that some Wiccans practice rituals and spells in a steady, low tone of voice. I do not think that boring words or actions grab the attentions of the divine, the spirits or the magick within you. I feel that in general we need to start putting more power and conviction in our words, for words are powerful. So the next time you hail to the guardians of the watchtowers, yell it and declare it with all the power that rests inside you, and perhaps you will get a better reaction. If you send the divine a 2 cent prayer, expect a 2 cent answer. I think that we get out of our magick what we put into it. I also feel that speaking with power and conviction shows your faith and love in the Gods. I believe that you have to want that magick from the divine and yourself. You have to speak as though you believe, not like you're unsure or bored. Remember this the next time you do a ritual or a spell. Be proud to be a Wiccan, there's a lot to be proud of. Blessed Be.Christopher.

Friday The 13Th Lore Luck And Superstitions

Friday The 13Th Lore Luck And Superstitions
Today is Friday 13 - are you worried?

Many people are. The idea that Friday 13 is unlucky is the most common superstition. It is so infamous that a calender turned to that date was chosen as the cover picture for the book Are You Superstitious? by Lore Cowan.

Paraskavedekatriaphobia, or fear of Friday 13, has even affected serious business decisions in the past. A story in The Evening Standard of January, Friday 13, 1967, said: "Are Britain's company chairmen getting more superstitious? It certainly looks like it. Out of the thousands of public companies which have to hold an annual meeting, not one of them is listed for today, Friday the 13th!"I don't know if business people are shunning today for important meetings, but with the deepening economic woes the world is facing, I wouldn't be at all surprised if they are doing their best to avoid unnecessary bad luck.

Both Friday and the number 13 are considered highly unlucky. According to Are You Superstitious?, the ill-luck associated with Friday is because the crucifixion of Christ happened on that day. It is considered a bad day to start a venture, move house or get married. About the only lucky thing to do on a Friday is to be born on it - according to an old nursery rhyme, "Friday's child is loving and giving", perhaps because Friday is associated with Venus, the goddess of love.

One possible origin for the bad luck associated with number 13 is the Last Supper, which Christ shared with his 12 disciples before his life went pear-shaped. Another possible origin for superstition pre-dates that. In Norse mythology, 12 gods held a banquet in Valhalla, to which troublemaker Loki turned up uninvited and was responsible for the death of Baldur. Thirteen is not always an unlucky number, however. Those given "a baker's dozen", are getting something for free. This began in the 13th century, when the Assizes of Bread and Ale ruled that bakers who shortchanged people could be punished. Traders began selling 13 for the price of 12, and the term was coined. It also reminds me of a joke: What do you call 13 witches? A baker's coven!

The linking of superstitions about Fridays with the number 13 are first documented in the 19th century. The earliest reference in English is in a biography of composer Gioachino Rossini, written in 1869:

"[Rossini] was surrounded to the last by admiring and affectionate friends; and if it be true that, like so many other Italians, he regarded Friday as an unlucky day, and thirteen as an unlucky number, it is remarkable that on Friday, the 13th of November, he died."Despite people's fears - or perhaps because of them - Friday 13 is actually often one of the safest days to go about your business or travel, according to studies by insurance companies. Perhaps superstition makes everyone just that little bit more careful.

May 1St 1945 Hitler Confirmed Dead May 1St 2011 Bin Laden Confirmed Dead
May 1st 1945, Hitler ingrained dead.

May 1st 2011, Bin Laden ingrained dead

"IT IS IN Time Because THESE THAT A Zip IS Similar Involving Momentous THINKERS AND Populate WHO GET SWIPED BY MEDIA CRAP-STORMS; Involving Populate WHO Detect THE Insightfulness OF A Container AND Populate WHO'D Like better NOT KNOW; Involving Populate WHO Date..." the spirit motives of the exclusive and individuals who go outside chanting "USA! USA!".

On the twilight of May 1st 2011, Barak Obama's declaration was one of triumph and celebration. He claimed that, with the death of Osama Bin Laden, "lawfulness was served". The media wobble after the proclamation was homogeneously as celebratory: "It is a ample day for America and the world"..."The biggest secure of facts in the function of 9/11'..."We'll all observe everyplace we were some time ago we've heard this facts"...The all-encompassing "troop" was strangely blown up, extravagant and hyped.

Ought to the death of a man jack up charm and celebrations? Starting some time ago pass we devolved within such a barbaric state? Being he perpetrated 9/11? Did he as well jack up the Mansion 7 to implode? Damn you Osama and your squad of engineers!

I'll tip you the all-encompassing "9/11 was an hub job" phraseology, as I know greatest extent of this site's readers are all too breathe of it. In this peapod, why requisite we bother if Ben Laden is dead or not? Is he really dead? Did he die nine energy ago? Who really knows? We're living in an era of deceiving, in good health theatrical, media-generated procedures. Why was Bin Laden's death announced on the twilight of May 1st? Being it was the sought after deprivation of the "greatest extent magical time of the engagement", which was launched with the Turmoil Wedding ceremony.

May 1st, or May Day, was deliberate by round about cultures to be an forceful holiday, singularly in occult circles due to outer space alignments. In Illuminati lore, it is regarded as the record greatest extent forceful day of the engagement. In fact, the Notify of the Bavarian Illuminati was founded on May 1st 1776.

In Europe, it is called the Beltane golden jubilee, an ancient Gaelic celebration of sexuality, magnificence...and blood sacrifices.

"Apparently, animal sacrifices would be made each Beltane to glimpse the magnificence of their crops, up till now, every five energy the Highland Celts would deprivation humans, the result person made up of convicted criminals and prisoners of war. They would be sacrificed by the Druids, though the type of their death would revolutionize. Repeated were in theory swell with arrows, but similes of Gaulish Celt ceremonies pass them person overcooked lurid in monumental walking stick men."

- Descent

The birth of the Beltane golden jubilee can be traced back to the celebration of the Sumerian God Enlil - who is known to us as Baal. The name Beltane (similar "B'yal-t'n") is thought to arise from the word Baal. Revelry of the Beltane golden jubilee are very culminate to ancient rituals celebrating the ancient god. The unknown similarities in the middle of these allegedly frosty cultures can be the question mark of an all-encompassing inform. One thing is for sure: Baal is an forceful become visible in Illuminati lore.

"In Middle-Eastern lore, Baal was killed and descended within the criminal world, whereupon he was returned to life by the powers of his sister-lover, Anat. Baal is subsequently colleague with the emigrant cycles and the coming of get and crops. This was reflected in Beltane festivals, which culminated with the rep marriage of the Bitter God and Spring Idol (or King Bitter and Ruler May). Ruler May, in the festivals, was a mother earth become visible. The word Baal resources lord or next of kin. In the mating of King Bitter and Ruler May, earth and sky were united, and magnificence and life were metaphorically rekindled in animals, nation state, and compassionate."

- Jane Adams, The Return Credentials of Jane Adams

"Close like and for the period of the belief that one can whip or aid the powers of compassionate by the practice of magic, fussily spongy magic, sexuality authority class part of the cult of the Baals and Ashtarts. Post-Exilic allusions to the cult of Baal Pe'or compromise that orgies prevailed. On the summits of hills and mountains flourished the cult of the givers of grand gesture, and "under every green tree" was practised the unsuitability which was assumed to basic cream of the crop of crops. Worldly deprivation, the passionate of incense, stormy and detective novel calisthenics, magnificence acts of bowing and kissing, the preparing of sacred cakes (see as well Asherah), be apparent as well as the offences denounced by the post-Exilic prophets; and perform that the cult of Baal (and Ashtart) included characteristic type of veneration which re-emerge in different parts of the Semitic (and non-Semitic) world, even though fixed to other names."

- W. Robertson Smith and George F. Moore, Baal

Ancient beliefs and rituals are an obscure part of today's Illuminati's occult practices. As their symbolism and modus-operandi are languidly infused within bludgeon, their some time ago secret rituals are now conducted on a substance means. The prosperity become clueless participants of their occult revels, not knowing they actually adding their depth.

In Dear

The Mujahideen were recruited and formed in the slow 70's by Zbigniew Brzezinski, the Coupled States State Collateral Advisor of Jimmy Shipper (Brzezinski is today Obama's pilot occupation advisor). The army group was expert by the Coupled States in order to disgust Russian martial from Afghanistan. Bin Laden was expert by the CIA to brawl the Communists and

the Taliban are a by-product of this US created hum.

Starting the fall of the USSR, Bin Laden and his Taliban served a new agenda: liberation an explanation for the interruption of key middle-eastern countries under the front of a "war on terror". In 2001, about 15 proceedings whilst the record amount hit the WTC, the image of Bin Laden was on show on barrier. He was the joy sucker on who to blame the attacks and the special boogey-man to agitate the American nation state. This scapegoat official the unquestioned interruption of Afghanistan, of Iraq. He even facilitated the fake of the aberration called the Patriot Act.

In 2011, Bin Laden's first-rate to the Arranger has ran its course. Moreover, the Obama leadership considered necessary an exploitation to boost its test ratings until the flanking elections. Consequently, in a classic combination of occult rituals with experimental politics, the death of Bin Laden was announced on May 1st 2011 with triumph and joyfulness. Close CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC and FOX, millions of viewers rejoiced at the death of man in the extraordinarily special ancient peasants rejoiced at the give of material sacrifices to Baal. In a dumbed-down, politicized and "Illuminati-sed" version of the Beltane Ball, the prosperity pass highly praised the ritual deprivation of a man and, defective even realizing it, partook in one of the Illuminati's greatest extent forceful holidays.

Almond Crescent Cookies for Imbolc

Imbolc is the time to prepare the home and land for the coming of spring and is traditionally observed on February 2nd every year. The word comes from Oimelc, meaning ewes milk and modern celebrations include baked goods and other foods containing milk, butter, and cheese.

Crescent cakes have become a modern traditional favorite at Imbolc and Candlemas feasts of Wiccans and other Pagans. This buttery almond crescent cookie recipe is a take on that favorite and is adapted from a traditional Viennese Christmas cookie. They have a nutty shortbread taste that are incredibly easy to make and add a special touch to your festivities.

Ingredients:

* 1 cup finely chopped almonds (or other nuts)

* 2 sticks (1 cup) softened unsalted butter

* 3/4 cup powdered sugar plus extra for coating

* 2 teaspoons vanilla

* 2 cups all-purpose flour

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius).

Lightly grease two cookie sheets.

In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter on medium speed until well blended. Add in the 3/4-cup powdered sugar and beat until combined. Add vanilla and almonds and stir until blended. Add the 2 cups flour gradually while stirring. At this point, you will have to knead it until well blended with your hands.

Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to make the dough easier to handle.

Shape the dough into crescent shapes (see picture) using 1 tablespoon at a time. To make it easier, roll into a string shape first and then shape into a crescent. Place onto cookie sheets and bake for 12-16 minutes until the edges are slightly browned.

Remove from oven and let cookies stand for a couple minutes until firm enough to remove from the sheet. Remove from the cookie sheet and place onto a rack. Let them cool for 10 minutes. Sift the extra powdered sugar over the cookies for the topping and let cool completely.

If you want to skip the crescent shaping process, just roll them into tablespoon-sized balls and bake the same as above. When the balls have cooled for 10 minutes, roll them in powdered sugar to coat evenly and let cool. You can also skip the nuts in case of possible allergy. They will simply taste like delicious shortbread.

These cookies are a favorite Yule treat too. They also are a symbol of the moon and would be good served at lunar rituals. Crescent cookies are quickly gobbled up by feasts guests, so you might want to make sure to have plenty on hand. Enjoy!

Hallelujah Jah The Removal Of God Name And Why Hallelujah Remained

Hallelujah Jah The Removal Of God Name And Why Hallelujah Remained
God's name is represented by the four Hebrew characters ("YHWH" or "JHVH) "and is known as the Tetragrammaton which appears almost 7,000 times in the original Hebrew text of what is commonly called the Old Testament. Bible scholars acknowledge that God's personal name appears in the Old Testament, or Hebrew Scriptures. However, many feel that it did not appear in the original Greek manuscripts of the so-called New Testament. The manuscripts of the New Testament that we possess today are not the originals. The original manuscripts written by Matthew, John, Paul, and others were well used, and no doubt they quickly wore out. So copies were made, and when those wore out, further copies were made. Of the thousands of copies of the New Testament in existence today, most were made AT LEAST TWO CENTURIES AFTER the originals were penned. It appears that by that time those copying the manuscripts either REPLACED the Tetragrammaton with Ku'ri.os or Ky'ri.os, the Greek word for "Lord," or copied from manuscripts where this had been done. (For more, see: A Translation Problem; w08 8/1 pp. 18-23.)But why did those copying the manuscripts replace the Tetragrammaton with Ku'ri.os or Ky'ri.os, the Greek word for "Lord"?Notice what the" New Encyclopedia Britannica" states about the situation at that time. It says that the"EARLIEST Christians celebrated the Lord's Passover at the same time as the Jews, during the night of the first (paschal) full Moon of the first month of spring (Nisan 14-15). BY THE MIDDLE OF THE 2ND CENTURY, most churches had transferred this celebration to the Sunday after the Jewish feast."From this time - "middle of the 2nd century" (180 A. D., at least) - until the blasphemous Nicene Council (325 A. D.) "HOSTILITY AGAINST JEWS AND JEWISH CUSTOMS led to formal debates [about the date for "Easter"] in councils of the Church." - "How It Started", Garrison, p. 49, Abingdon Press, 1972.With the example of the extremely important "Easter/Passover" reaction of the Gentile "Christians" in mind we should not be surprised that these same Jewish-hating people changed the Hebrew name of the "Jewish" God during their attempts to "smooth out the text of Scripture" during the same time period. In fact it would be surprising if they hadn't. Remember, these "Christians" were mostly Greek (or Latin) speaking Gentiles. It was relatively easy for them to change all the instances of "Yahweh" and "Yah" to "Lord" or "God" since those words clearly stood out from the rest of the Greek writing in their HEBREW characters. But what if the hated name had been incorporated into other words and then transliterated into Greek by the original "Septuagint" translators? Would the name-removing Greek-speaking copyists still recognize it? Apparently not.We find that when the shortened form of the Divine Name "(Jah)" was left in Hebrew characters by the original Jewish translators of the Septuagint, the "Christian" copyists always CHANGED it to "Lord." But when the original Jewish translators had incorporated it with another word or words (as in proper names, e.g., "EliJAH" [WHICH MEANS "GOD IS JEHOVAH" - p. 674, "Today's Dictionary of the Bible", Bethany House Publ., 1982] or in the phrase "Praise ye Jehovah [Hallelu JAH])" and transliterated it into Greek characters, it became an acceptable "Greek" word (although one whose meaning they didn't wholly understand) to the "Christian" copyists, and they didn't change it (out of ignorance only). This is very obvious in the "Hallelujah" Psalms where, for some reason, the original "Septuagint" translators combined the two Hebrew words "Hallelu" ("Praise ye") and "Jah" ("Jehovah") and then put that new word into GREEK characters (which still had the Hebrew pronunciation of "HalleluJAH").When the 2nd century Jew-despising "Christian" copyists saw "Jah" in HEBREW characters, they always removed it entirely or changed it to "Lord" or "God" - e.g., Ex. 15:2; Ps. 68:4, 18; Is. 26:4. But when they saw the GREEK characters of "HalleluJAH" they ALWAYS left it unchanged:All uses of an "INDEPENDENT" (standing alone, not attached to other words or names) "JAH" in the Hebrew Scriptures:* - Ex. 15:2..............................................K - Ps. 118:17* - Ex. 17:16............................................K - Ps. 118:18 K - Ps. 68:4 (:5 Heb.)............................K - Ps. 118:19* - Ps. 68:18 (:19)..................................K - Ps. 122:4K - Ps. 77:11 (:12)..................................K - Ps. 130:3K - Ps. 89:8 (:9).....................................H - Ps. 135:1K - Ps. 94:7..............................................K - Ps. 135:3K - Ps. 94:12...........................................K - Ps. 135:4K - Ps. 102:18 (:19)...............................H - Ps. 135:21H - Ps. 104:"H - Ps. 146:1

Notice that everywhere "Jah" is used "BY ITSELF" (except when accompanied by "hallel)" it has been CHANGED by the "Christian" copyists. However, whenever "Jah" was accompanied by "Hallel" ("Praise"), the original "Septuagint" translators incorporated it with Hallel into a single word and then wrote it out in Greek characters (transliterated it) keeping the Hebrew pronunciation of "Hallel" AND "JAH "!"Psalms 113-118 are traditionally referred to as the `Hallel Psalms,' because they have to do with praise to God for deliverance from Egyptian bondage under Moses. Because of this, they are an important part of the traditional Passover service. There is no reason to doubt that THESE WERE THE HYMNS SUNG BY JESUS AND HIS DISCIPLES on Maundy Thursday when he instituted the Lord's Supper (Matt. 26:30)."The word "halal" is the source of `Hallelujah,' a Hebrew expression of `praise' to God which has been taken over into virtually every language of mankind. The Hebrew `Hallelujah' is generally translated [falsely], `Praise THE LORD!' The "misspelling" is in certain ENGLISH translations (e.g., "KJV)" which drop the beginning `H' sound: "Alleluia"! However, most respected modern translations do have "Hallelujah" in Rev. 19 (e.g., "NIV", "NASB, RSV, NRSV, ASV, REB, MLB, Mo", and Barclay)."HalleluJAH....is derived from "halal", which means "to praise", and "JAH", which is the name of God.... here in this chapter [Rev. 19] THE ORIGINAL HEBREW FORM TRANSLITERATED INTO GREEK, IS RETAINED." - p. 169, Vol. 2, William Barclay, "The Revelation of John", Revised Edition, The Daily Study Bible Series, Westminster Press, 1976. "JAH"' - ASV f. n.]", even Jehovah [YHWH], is an everlasting rock." - Is. 26:4, "ASV".Yes, "Jah" is equivalent to "Jehovah". Two different forms of the very same PERSONAL NAME of God. (This is likely equivalent to the way Greek manuscripts often abbreviated "God [Qeos, "'theos"']" as "QS". If so, "Jah" would still be "PRONOUNCED Jehovah" or "Yahweh" - see the PRONOUNCE study paper.)Psalm 68:4, "King James Version" - "Sing unto God, sing praises to his name; EXTOL HIM...BY HIS NAME JAH ['Jehovah' - "ASV"; "LB]"..."Of course, the Gentile manuscript copyists of later centuries probably did not know that "AbiJAH" ("The FATHER is JEHOVAH"), "EliJAH," ("God is JEHOVAH"), etc. are transliterations that actually use the shortened form of God's personal name ("Jah") and certainly didn't know that "HalleluJAH" (Rev. 19:1, 3, 4, 6) is really Hebrew for "Praise JAH" or they would have surely changed them all also. However, the inspired Jewish Christians who actually wrote the "original" NT manuscripts certainly knew that writing or proclaiming aloud "Hallelu JAH!" (whether in Hebrew characters or Greek characters) was writing (or proclaiming aloud) God's personal name. If the JEWISH Christian and Apostle John had left God's name out of the NT originally, he surely would not have then used "Hallelu JAH!" in four places in Revelation 19, for he knew exactly what it truly said: "PRAISE YE JEHOVAH"! Only the Hebrew-ignorant Gentile "Christian" copyists would be fooled by "Hallelujah" exactly as they were when they removed and changed the Divine Name in the Septuagint about the same time)!Actually, then, "Jehovah" IS found in ALL existing MSS of the NT which include Rev. 19. The extreme importance of this must not be overlooked or minimized. The last book of the Bible (and one of the last to be inspired and written) reasserts and re-emphasizes the extreme importance of God's only eternal personal name. In the "KEYNOTE in the song of the great multitude" worshipers of the true God are COMMANDED to praise "our God": "Give praise to our God (ainete [to theo] hemon)". Present active imperative [the form used for commands] of "aineo"." - p. 488, Vol. 6, A. T. Robertson's "Word Pictures".And exactly who is the God whom all are COMMANDED to praise? "God WHO SITS ON THE THRONE" (19:4) IS THE FATHER, Jehovah alone. See all other instances of the God seated on the throne in the Book of Revelation (e.g., Rev. 4:2, 8; 5:6, 7, 16; 7:9). "The Lord our God THE ALMIGHTY "[pantokrator]" (Rev. 19:6) is never used of the Son (nor anyone else), but only the Father, Jehovah alone. E.g., 2 Cor. 6:18 says: "And I will be a FATHER unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty "[pantokrator]"." Yes, the only person called God in the Book of Revelation is always the Father. (Rev. 1:6 - "[Jesus Christ] has made us to be a kingdom, priests to HIS GOD and FATHER.") So how do God's true worshipers respond when commanded to praise this God Almighty seated on the throne? "HALLELU JAH!" ("Praise JEHOVAH!")."Jehovah... This is my ETERNAL name, TO BE USED throughout ALL GENERATIONS." - Ex. 3:15, "LB".If "Hallelujah" had not been, for some unknown reason, COMBINED INTO A SINGLE WORD by the original translators of the Septuagint* (or by very early copyists) and was therefore misunderstood by the Gentile "Christian" copyists of the second century, then even this last (and most important) use of "Jehovah WOULD" have been eliminated from all of the NT Greek Scriptures. As it is, however, the exclusive name of God was miraculously preserved in the HEBREW manuscripts of the OT (even after the Jews finally succumbed to the superstitious practice of never PRONOUNCING ALOUD that supremely important name that still appeared written in their OT manuscripts). It was miraculously preserved in the Septuagint, the ancient GREEK manuscripts of the OT. (Even after later copyists changed nearly all instances into "Lord" or "God," it remained in the "Hallelujahs.") It was miraculously preserved in the Greek NT manuscripts. (Even after copyists changed nearly all instances into "Lord" or "God," it, too, remained in the single-worded "Hallelujahs.") And it was miraculously preserved in the extremely significant statement of Ps. 83:18 in the English of the "King James Version" which took away "Jehovah" and substituted "LORD" nearly everywhere else (nearly 7000 times).* We can see that the source of "Halleluia" in existing copies of the Septuagint is really two words in the original Hebrew. For example the "Hahlayloo "Yah" of Psalm 146:1 is obviously two separate Hebrew words: "Hahlayloo" [`praise ye'] and "Yah" [`Jehovah']. And yet, our oldest existing copies of the ancient Septuagint show these two words combined into one `new' word in Greek: "Halleluia". And the same Greek word, "Halleluia", which was found in the earliest copies of John's "Revelation", was likewise treated by copyists of the 2nd century. Whether John himself had combined the two words into one for the benefit of those Hellenic Jews to whom he wrote (who were familiar with the term as it was found in the Septuagint) or whether early copyists had done it to conform with the Septuagint is not the point here.MORE INFORMATION CONCERNING THIS CAN BE FOUND IN THE FOLLOWING ARTICLE: Jah (Insight-1 p. 1248; Watchtower Online Library)The Fight Against God's Name (g04 1/22 pp. 5-9; Watchtower Online Library)"Jehovah" in The New Testament (Search For Bible Truths)
